The Generation Flageolet (better known as tin whistle) has six finger holes. Bax-shop stocks several of these in different keys and materials: bright nickel and warmer-sounding brass. This copper-coloured brass version is in the key of D, allthough playing in G won’t be a problem either. You can of course play every note on this whistle, but when playing in divergent keys, it might be handier to just use another tin whistle.
The Flageolet in D-tuning
Tin whistles are often used in Celtic music or folk rock. Even though these instruments are used by professional musicians, these whistles are very affordable and well suited for beginners.
