One Instrument, Two Distinctive Pianos

To offer you the very best potential for fulfilling musical expression, the AP-470 incorporates two new Grand Piano tones. Using Casio’s advanced AiR sound technology, the AP-470 captures the wide dynamic range and tonal characteristics of both European and American styles of piano design. This means that whatever your preferred style of music, you’ll find the perfect piano sound for your performance:

GRAND PIANO 1 – A rich and resonant European grand piano, capable of expressing a multitude of tonal contrasts that suit the Classical tradition.

GRAND PIANO 2 – The perfect piano for jazz and popular music performance. Bright, clear and with a contemporary tone colour.

NEW HALL SIMULATOR

Using real acoustic measurements, the Hall Simulator recreates the ambience and character of four famous concert halls. Experience the thrill of listening to your performance in any of these unique and memorable acoustics as you play.

Headphone Mode

The AP-470 creates a more natural sound spread when using headphones, for realistic silent practice.

CONCERT PLAY

Real orchestral recordings of favourite pieces introduce the symphony orchestra whilst developing sight-reading and ensemble skills.

Intelligent Acoustic Resonator

CASIO’s AiR sound source gives incredible clarity and an authentic tone colour, so your performance will be expressive and natural. The AP-470 can also reproduce string and damper resonance. Usually only found on acoustic instruments, string resonance is calculated by the AP-470 as you play, making extended performance techniques that use string harmonics possible.
